N'Djamena - The Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States, held on Saturday in N'Djamena, has taken three important decisions on the SEN-SAD revitalization and restructuring. The final statement, adopted at the end of the summit, said that the conference decided to appoint as executive secretary and his deputy, for a term of four years, two senior executives from Niger and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The names of the appointees will be communicated by the countries concerned to the current President of SEN-SAD. The Summit decided to entrust Morocco with the newly created position of Deputy Executive Secretary of the SEN-SAD community for a four-year term. For its part, Niger was re-appointed as executive secretary. The Summit also decided to temporarily move the headquarters of the Secretariat of the Organization from Tripoli to N'Djamena.
