Morocco, Privileged Tourism Destination for Chinese People, CEO of 'C Trip'

Rabat - Morocco is a privileged destination for Chinese citizens, said, on Friday in Rabat, chief executive officer of Chinese travel agency "C Trip" James Jianzhang Liang, during a meeting with head of government Saad Dine El Otmani. According to a statement from the department of the head of government, Jianzhang Liang, who is on a working visit to Morocco along with a delegation representing "C Trip", one of China's major providers of travel services, stressed that Morocco is a privileged destination for Chinese tourists, especially after HM the King's decision to exempt Chinese nationals from visas, during the Sovereign's historic visit to Beijing. During this meeting, which is part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the two countries and the review of new prospects for cooperation, the CEO of "C Trip" said he was satisfied with the civilizational and historical aspects, the diversity, the cultural richness and infrastructure that he saw during his visit to Morocco.

Liang expressed the will of his group to develop new integrated programs for Chinese tourists wishing to visit the Kingdom, mainly through a partnership with the Moroccan Tourism Office. For his part, El Othmani emphasized the special importance of the tourism sector in the national economy, and the efforts by the government to develop this strategic sector, adding that Morocco boasts historical, civilizational, cultural and environmental potential, and enjoys a strategic location that enables it to be a leading tourism destination and a main gateway to the African continent. The two parties also welcomed the multiplying shared cultural events, such as Morocco's year in China and China's year in Morocco, which is likely to contribute to bringing the two peoples closer and boost tourism in both countries.
