Morocco, Important Partner for Chad (Chadian Minister)

Rabat - Morocco is an important partner for Chad, said, Thursday in Rabat, Chadian minister of Mining, Industrial, Commercial Development and Private Sector Promotion, Ahmat Mahamat Bachir.

In a statement to MAP at the end of his talks with secretary of State to the minister of Industry, Investment, Trade and Digital Economy, in charge of Investment, Othman El Ferdaous, the Chadian official said that the purpose of his visit to the Kingdom is to invite Morocco to the Arab Investment Forum, to be held in N'Djamena from April 29th to May 1st.

"Morocco being an important partner for our country, we thought it would be useful to come and discuss with the Moroccan authorities in order to study the possibility of strong Moroccan participation in this forum," said Bachir.

The meeting with Ferdaous was "very important" and provided an opportunity to further strengthen relations between the two countries in line with what has been done in recent years, he added.

"Cooperation between Morocco and Chad is developing very well in the best interests of the two peoples," Bachir said.
