Ivanka Trump: The United States Deeply Values Long-standing and Growing Bilateral Relationship with Morocco

Washington - The United States and president Donald Trump deeply value the long-standing and growing bilateral relationship with Morocco, said advisor to the US president Ivanka Trump, lauding HM King Mohammed VI's leadership on crucial topics. "Today I was honored to speak with His Majesty King Mohammed VI and thank him for his gracious hospitality during our delegation's visit to the beautiful country of Morocco," Trump said on Twitter after an exchange with the sovereign.

"His Majesty and I discussed his meaningful recent legal reforms to advance gender equality in Morocco," she added.

"We appreciate his leadership on making progress on all aspects of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact and the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity Initiative (W-GDP)," she said.

During her two-day visit to Morocco, Trump and CEO of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Sean Cairncross met with members of the Moroccan Government including the Head of the Government, Saad Dine El Otmani, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, Nasser Bourita.

Ivanka Trump launched in Sidi Kacem a campaign to support the melkisation operation aimed at the appropriation of soulaliyate lands, as part of the Women's Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative.

During this field visit, Trump learned about women's access to collective land, a project initiated under the High guidelines of HM King Mohammed VI and considered a major priority of the W-GDP to strengthen women's empowerment in Morocco.
