Casablanca: Ivanka Trump Visits Institute Specializing in Aeronautics and Airport Logistics Trades

Nouaceur - Advisor to the President of the United States of America Ivanka Trump paid a visit, on Friday, to the Institute specializing in Aeronautics and Airport Logistics Trades (ISMALA) in the province of Nouaceur, the only facility in Morocco to offer training on aeronautics and airport logistics. On this occasion, Ivanka Trump was informed about the major projects implemented by Morocco in the field of aeronautics and toured the various workshops of ISMALA, which operates under the Office of Vocational Training and Labor Promotion (OFPPT).

Ivanka Trump seized this opportunity to commend the ISMALA students for their efforts and involvement in the development of the aeronautical sector in Morocco, noting that their career in this field, which remains largely dominated by men, is a source of inspiration for all Moroccan women. The Advisor to the US President also highlighted the important role played by this Institute in terms of training, stressing that the ISMALA represents an opportunity for Moroccan youth, especially women, by allowing them to promote their talents and build their skills in a field with high value added. She also welcomed the setting up in Morocco of the girls' WiSci camp, which is the fruit of a collaboration between the Moroccan government, the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Google and Intel.

For his part, CEO of MCC Sean Cairncross underscored the place of women in the Moroccan society and their role in economic development, recalling that the rate of Moroccan women's integration in the workplace remains poor. It is within this framework that the MCC-Compact works for the development of education and vocational training programs, particularly through training institutes such as ISMALA, with a view to developing the potential of women, he added.
