18th Marrakech International Film Festival Kicks off





Marrakech - The 18th edition of the Marrakech International Film Festival opened Friday in the presence of several national and foreign movie stars. Fourteen films compete in the official competition of the festival.

This edition will pay tribute to Australian cinema. In this regard, a distinguished delegation of Australian actors and directors will make the trip to Marrakech for this exceptional tribute. Scottish performer and producer Tilda Swinton chairs this edition's jury, which also includes French director Rebecca Zlotowski, British director Andrea Arnold, Franco-Italian actress Chiara Mastroianni, Brazilian director Kleber Mendonça Filho, Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt, Afghan writer and director Atiq Rahimi, Australian director David Michôd and Moroccan director Ali Essafi.

The Jury of the 18th FIFM will announce the award winners during the closing night ceremony on December 7th.
