Morocco Participates in Abu Dhabi International Book Fair




Abu Dhabi - The 29th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair kicked off on Wednesday with the participation of more than 1000 exhibitors representing some 50 countries, including Morocco.

The Kingdom is represented at this international cultural event, which runs until April 30, by a pavilion of the ministry of Culture and Communication.

Publishing houses "Yanbow al kitab" and "Mouminoun bila houd" also represent Morocco at this event, in addition to Moroccan writers Bensalem Himmich, winner of the 2019 Sheikh Zayed Book Award (literature category) and Mohammed El Maazouz, who was on the short list of the 2019 International Prize for Arabic Fiction.

During this fair, of which India is the guest of honor, no less than 500,000 books written in 30 languages will be on display, while 80 cultural, educational and entertainment events will be held.
